I just had an 80 year old retired doctor tell me that my generation must nationalize health care. First of all, I assumed all doctors were against this. Second of all, he was a part of "the Greatest Generation," so why didn't they do it? I'm all for it, but I don't see it happening.
He made an interesting point though: systems that can't afford failure (whether that be social security, health care, etc) should not be placed under market control.
I suppose when Medicare goes bankrupt in 20 years people might be more open to the ideas of universal health care.
